In the front or in the back of your house, we can install concrete steps. Maybe you need just one step to the side door of the garage or a couple steps to the storage shed. We can do that!
Concrete steps can be tricky, you defiantly don’t want an unexperienced handyman attempting this. From setting up the grade to leveling the forms not to mention properly reenforcing the forms to be strong enough to hold that much weight vertically until the concrete sets up.
The slump of the concrete needs to be very low, meaning dry. most contractors want to start with a three-inch slump for steps. Then if needed they can add just a little water to make it like a three and a half or close to a four-inch slump.
If the concrete is to wet, it will just run out under the forms and not stand up.
We have one contractor that is so good at steps, we use them exclusively.
